Frequently Asked Questions
Forgot your user name or password?
If you cannot find your answer below, contact us at eRider@IdahoSTAR.org. We will respond within one business day. Please note that we do not have weekend staffing.
Q: How do I get a user name and password to access the site?
When you register and pay for an eRider Basic or Basic II course, you will receive a confirmation with a unique link to access the site.
Q: I am having technical trouble with the online videos or activities. What can I do?
In most cases, holding down the Control key and pressing F5 (Cntl+F5) will refresh your screen and solve the problem. Updating your browser, switching to another browser or clearing your cache can also solve the problem. If the issue persists, check the System Requirements display on your dashboard for a yellow or red indicator. Idaho STAR eRider recommends restarting your computer after making any system changes.
Q: My account has been locked. How do I get back in?
Contact Idaho STAR eRider at eRider@IdahoSTAR.org to unlock your account. We will do our best to respond the same day to emails received during business hours, Mon-Fri, 8am-4:30pm and within one business day for emails received outside of our office hours.
Q: How do I prove I’ve completed the online classroom?
When you successfully complete the online classroom, your student record will be updated automatically. After completion of riding activities, including passing the skills test, Idaho STAR will mail your completion card.
Please notify the STAR office at Info@IdahoSTAR.org if your address has changed since you registered for the course.
Q: I did not receive a passing score on the quizzes. Do I need to take the classroom again?
Students are allowed one knowledge retest. Contact Idaho STAR at 208-639-4540 within 10 days of completing the course to schedule a retest. Retests are taken in person with an instructor present. We recommend you review the online classroom again before retesting, but it is not required. You may also request a digital copy of the Basic Rider's Guide textbook. There is no cost for the Rider's Guide or written retest.
